The Religious Liberty department is committed to protect religious freedom rights for all. Our department assists Central members in several ways, including:
processing requests for Sabbath accommodations at the workplace and for exams on Sabbath for students.
Help to address labor union membership challenges and provide letters to the United States Department of Justice.
Immigration and Naturalization Service for members to receive noncombatant status.
Our department also works closely with religious liberty leadership in the Pacific Union Conference, which has two public affairs and religious liberty offices in California, with one located near the state capitol.
