CCC Releases a Statement Regarding 2021 Summer Ministries

CLOVIS, CALIF.,—January 12, 2021, The Central California Conference of Seventh-day
Adventists (CCC) is canceling the following in-person ministries for the 2021
summer season: Wawona Summer Camp and Teen Bible Academy. As for our
Youth Rush Literature Ministry, we are looking to implement a safe and effective
modified program (subject to the lifting of current regulations in California, and if that
is not available then to partner with one of our Seventh-day Adventist Conferences in
another state). This action was made with much consideration for the health and
safety of our children, young people, and members of various communities as we
face the ongoing challenges of the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Through the years, God has abundantly blessed the summer ministries of CCC. For
ninety years, children campers and young adult staff members have come during the
summer to CCC’s accredited Christian camp in Yosemite National Park. For fifteen
years, CCC has provided a special three-week summer ministry where teens and staff
members participate in spiritual growth, team and leadership building, and
community service. And for twenty-seven years, the summer literature ministry
program has expanded to where it now trains, mentors and leads students through
door-to-door efforts leaving biblical literature to over 300,000 homes during the

Despite the disappointment of not having these summer ministries in traditional ways
for 2021, we are committed to explore and implement creative and effective
opportunities to advance discipleship and evangelism throughout Central California.
We are looking to provide for some virtual Summer Camp and Teen Bible Academy
experiences this summer.

Thank you for your prayers and support as we move closer to the soon return of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
